Imagine standing in a place where everything feels wrong, and someone asks you if you see it all clearly. That's what’s happening here! God is speaking directly to Ezekiel, saying, 'Look around! You think this is bad? Just wait, it’s about to get even crazier!' It’s like a dramatic reveal, pulling you in closer. God’s intensity and urgency are palpable, inviting you to pay attention to the shocking realities unfolding.
This book was written by Ezekiel, a prophet who was taken captive to Babylon. He’s sharing what he sees and hears from God, and it’s not easy. His goal? To wake people up to the reality of their actions and their consequences. He includes this specific detail to stress that there’s a lot more to uncover. It's like he’s pulling back the curtain on an unsettling reality that people need to face.
