This book of Genesis was written by Moses, who wanted to share the stories of the beginnings of the world and the people of Israel. He included this specific detail about Joseph to show how one person's integrity can shine in dark circumstances. Moses highlights Joseph’s character because it serves as a powerful example of standing firm in one’s values, even when faced with temptation and pressure. It’s like Moses is saying, 'Look at Joseph!
