He’s urging you not to let those who claim to speak for Him mislead you. Don’t get caught up in false hopes or dreams that won’t come true. It’s like God is your trusted friend, whispering, 'Hey, be careful! Not everything you hear is true. Focus on what I really say, and don’t be fooled!'.
This message comes from Jeremiah, a prophet who deeply cared for his people. He lived through some tough times and saw firsthand the struggles of the Israelites. Jeremiah included this warning because he wanted to protect them from deception and guide them back to the truth. He knew that when people are scared or uncertain, they might cling to any glimmer of hope, even if it’s not real. He’s like that wise friend who says, 'Learn to discern what’s genuine!'
