Here’s the deal: Jesus is calling people out on their belief. He’s saying, ‘If you can’t trust the writings of Moses, how can you trust what I’m saying?’ This isn’t just a casual conversation; it’s a challenge! This book was written by John, one of Jesus’ closest friends. He experienced firsthand the incredible things Jesus did and the profound things He said. John included this detail to show just how important belief is in our relationship with God. He wanted people to see that faith isn't just about following rules; it’s about genuine trust in who Jesus is.
