The Bigger Picture

Leading up to this moment, the disciples are in a pivotal place. Jesus has just ascended into heaven, and they’re left with the task of carrying on His mission. But there’s a problem: they need to replace Judas, who betrayed Jesus, and they’re unsure of who should take his place. This prayer is a turning point! It reflects their dependence on God as they navigate this leadership challenge. After this prayer, they cast lots, and the decision is made. It’s a dramatic flow of uncertainty giving way to divine direction, showing how they move forward guided by faith.
